- Real rock music + tight three-part harmonies + ballsy guitars + pulsing backbeat + catchy modern-rock knee-deep in classic pop-songwriting sensibilities =THE WOMBATS!
- Kevin Giragosian, singer/songwriter/guitarist for The Wombats, has been a part of the Chicago music scene for a number of years - live and on the radio. The commitment to music began in the fall of 1996 when he and his brother and drummer, Kegham, gave up all conventional work to concentrate full-time on their music career. Together, with various bass players, they have thrilled audiences at every major club-venue in Chicago including national music showcases such as MOBfest in Chicago and International Pop Overthrow in Chicago and LA. In the fall of 2001 they secured what they feel is their best line-up of musicians to date including Gordon Patriarca-bass, James Patriarca-lead guitar and Steve Ashum-keyboards. The chemistry of the band and their live performance has never been more exciting! Over the years, their recordings have been local-favorite picks of djs Chicago's most respected modern-rock radio stations – WXRT(93.1) and WKQX(Q101).
- The Wombats have shared the stage with such national and local acts as Bob Geldolf, The Watch men, Iain Matthews, Adrien Belew's Psychodots, Catherine, Spanic Boys, The Insiders, Bad Examples, Big Hat, Big Hello, Phantom Helmsmen, Big Guitars from Memphis, Charming Beggars, etal..
